Sylvain Melanson, 75, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, February 9, 2002. Born at St-Andre, NB, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Ida (Richard) Melanson and a retired Finn Press Operator in Ontario.
 He is survived by one son, Yvon Bernier of Montreal; six sisters, Marguerite Breau of Old Shediac Road, Alice (Horeb) Hébert of St-André, Rita Spak of Hanover, ON, Rose Dupuis of Memramcook East, Florida Gervais of Noelville, ON, Laura Neville of Hanover, ON; three brothers, Arthur of St-André, Joseph of Moncton, Roméo of Estavan, Sask; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Leo, Paul and Albert.
He is resting at Dupuis Funeral Home with the Funeral Services to be held on Tuesday February 12, 2002, 11:00 am at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East.
